My stay at the hotel was a mix of ups and downs. The room, although slightly small, had some nice amenities like a Nespresso machine and slippers, along with a view of the Christmas Market at Princess Street Gardens. However, it was not ready on time, and the bathroom needed serious modernization. The location was excellent, right in the heart of everything, but the noise from other guests kept me up. The dining experience was decent, with attentive staff, but there were some inconveniences with basic things. Overall, a stay with its highs and lows.

For £114 a night, the rooms could have been better. The sofa had a tear, the shower was broken, and the towels and dressing gowns were hard like washcloths. The posters on the wall looked a bit dated and in need of refurbishment, not quite as advertised in the photos.

I had the best view in Edinburgh from my room, but had to wait an hour for it, which was a bit of a letdown. I spoke with the manager about this issue, likening it to ordering a steak based on a menu picture but getting something different. The side units were not what I expected.
